I attended the Mountain View Elementary School Art Fair (Ferndale, Washington) last week and set up a fun sculpture at my book table... styrofoam squares, with pipe cleaners, buttons, scraps, sequins, and so on. We used up every last piece of everything. I taught at Mt. View back in the 70s so find it a good place to volunteer when I can. Enjoy the pictures!!
PS This activity is found in Great American Artists for Kids and is an enjoyable sculpture activity based on Alexander Calder's famous stabiles (which are "standing mobiles").

On thing I love about this is that all ages are equally engaged with exactly the same materials. Art -- I love you!!
